Philip Bärtschi

 

lic. iur. Philip Bärtschi - 17 years of experience as an aviation lawyer

Philip holds a law degree from the University of Zurich and practises as an aviation attorney since 2007. He has been representing clients from the aviation industry for 17 years, consulting airports, airlines and pilots. His law firm has twice been named one of the five “top aviation law firms” by the business magazine BILANZ. Philip is a partner of v2sky GmbH which focuses on risk assessments in the manned and unmanned aviation industry and provides consulting services for the operation of complex unmanned aerial vehicles. He is Deputy President and General Counsel of the Swiss Aero-Club, instructor for aviation law for airline and military pilots and holds a private pilot's license himself for 25 years. He is co-editor of the “Erlasssammlung Luftrecht”, which was published by Stämpfli-Verlag in 2007. Philip is also deputy president of the advisory board of the Foundation for Aviation Competence and frequent contributor to aviation and safety related events. He is a freelance journalist for the Swiss air and space magazine “Cockpit”, focusing on space flights. For his latest report, he took part in a parabolic zero-g flight mission of the European Space Agency ESA.
